During the last two nights, my brother preferred to settle down with some comics instead of watching the popular and hugely followed live telecast of the ongoing IPL cricket T20 matches. When I checked which comic he was reading, I found that his concentration was focused on the second volume of the Mahabharata. After completing his quota of comic reading for the day, he carefully kept the book back in its allotted place. Seeing the comics neatly arranged on a shelf at their allotted place took me back several decades when we started reading the first Amar Chitra Katha comics.
Origin of Amar Chitra Katha (ACK)
ACK is the brain child of Anant Pai. One day, when Anant Pai and his wife were visiting Delhi, they came across a TV shop that was broadcasting a quiz show.
